The Bürgi watch, designed by Mathieu Blanchard, draws inspiration from the great master watchmakers to offer an exceptional timepiece. In tribute to the discreet 16th-century genius Jost Bürgi, this watch captures the spirit of the age of discovery, from astronomy to mathematics. A visionary Swiss disciple of that era, Jost Bürgi excelled in everything he undertook. Thus, he created numerous scientific and astronomical instruments.

Automatic movements are an original and traditional feature. This technology harnesses gravity and converts the movement of your arms into energy. To ensure the automatic watch does not stop while inactive, it also features a power reserve that allows it to continue running for 35 to 60 hours, depending on the movement.
EVERY WATCH IS UNIQUE
The wood grain, like a fingerprint, is unique, making every watch entirely different. Each watch is crafted with great care to ensure it is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Take it to the next level and make the experience even more special with custom engraving on the back of the watch.
A product's durability depends mainly on its materials. For Mathieu Blanchard Signature watches, we use materials that are durable over time.
For the crystal, we use sapphire crystal: it is the glass most frequently used on today's high-end watches. Sapphire crystal is 10 times harder than mineral glass and 4 times harder than acrylic glass. It is virtually impossible to scratch except by a diamond, which is even harder. This crystal is laboratory-engineered.
For the watch cases and straps, we have made enormous efforts to produce using sustainable materials such as naturally sourced wood and matte-finish stainless steel. This finish provides visual durability, as signs of wear and tear appear much less than on polished surfaces.
We love nature; it is often a source of calm, comfort, and very often the starting point for our jewelry & accessories collections. We are proud to offer watches made from noble, sustainable materials. Our main material is wood, which offers a significant environmental advantage over other comparable materials: low carbon emissions during the production process and the biodegradable nature of the materials.
Our watches are handcrafted with great precision by an experienced team. Each watch is naturally unique and made with genuine wood such as walnut and oak (sourced from whiskey barrels).
