Our Story,
From our first steps in Drummondville to the jewelry house we are today — here is the entrepreneurial journey of Mathieu and Chantal.

A passion that becomes
a profession.
At 16, in my last year of high school, I had the opportunity to start as a professional piercer. After a year of training and with the support of an experienced person, I dove in — with all the enthusiasm, doubts, and naivety that comes with that age. By 18, I could proudly say that it was possible to make a full living from my passion.
First recognition
in the field.
The adventure continued and began to bear fruit. The first professional accolades arrived — a validation that passion and hard work always end up meeting.
Studio Adrénaline
Drummondville.
With savings accumulated between piercing and a few freelance graphic design contracts, the idea of a physical space took shape. I was missing one thing: the courage to ask my mother to support me. After a frank 30-minute family discussion, she said yes. In less than 24 hours, I had found our first space and signed a two-year lease in the heart of downtown Drummondville. Three months of renovations later, Studio Adrénaline welcomed its first clients.

From urban boutique
to jewelry store.
If someone had warned me that I would have to work 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, invest all my savings, and put my social life on hold — I might have hesitated. To be honest, about ten people warned me. I followed my instinct anyway. Gradually, Studio Adrénaline transformed into a full-fledged urban boutique: rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, watches — the selection grew brand by brand.
Bijouterie Le Duo
is born.
On January 15, 2017, it was official: Studio Adrénaline became Bijouterie Le Duo. An intense mix of happiness, excitement, stress, and a slight fear of cracking at any moment — we were now part of the great family of Quebec jewelry stores. Mom, Dad, my brothers, my aunts, my cousins, my best friend — everyone pitched in. A lot of work, even more love.
The end of one chapter,
the beginning of another.
On February 8, 2018, with a heavy heart, I announced the closure of Bijouterie Le Duo. An offer too good to refuse had presented itself. I considered it the perfect opportunity to enrich my experience before the next step. Until the very last day, an incredible dose of love surrounded us. We left our second home on March 1, 2018.
mathieublanchard.ca is born.
I had always wanted to create much more than just a simple shop. In 2019, I finally dared to realize my ultimate project: launching a fine jewelry brand under my own name. Chantal once again agreed to support me — she also felt this need for renewal. Months of hard work, attention to every detail, and mathieublanchard.ca came to life.
A physical boutique
in the heart of Granby.
After two months of renovations, the first physical mathieublanchard.ca boutique opened its doors on November 1, 2021, at 30 Johnson Street in Granby. 1,200 square feet dedicated to a warm jewelry experience — a space designed to hold a piece in your hands, see it under different lights, and discuss your projects face-to-face.
The studio opens
to the public.
Since 2021, we have built strong ties with the Granby community. We have continued to invest in offering an ever more enriching experience. 2024 marks an important milestone: the opening of our studio space to the public — for the first time, our clients can see pieces in production and concretely understand what "handmade in Quebec" really means.
Today, a
jewelry house.
What began with a youthful passion and the unwavering support of my mother has become, over the years, a true jewelry house. Mathieu Blanchard Joaillerie is now much more than a boutique — it is a constant commitment to quality, ethics, and accessible beauty.
We are GIA members and offer internationally recognized certifications on a selection of pieces. We work with responsibly sourced stones, and every piece of jewelry — whether in stock or custom-made — is designed to last, to be passed down, and to tell a story.
