The Copernicus watch, by Mathieu Blanchard, is freely inspired by the work of Nicolaus Copernicus. Galileo was also inspired by it to give new life to time measurement, by developing the first works on the pendulum clock.

Automatic movements are an original and traditional feature. This technology takes advantage of gravity and converts your arm movements into energy. To ensure that the automatic watch does not stop when inactive, it also has a power reserve with which it can continue to operate for 35 to 60 hours, depending on the movement.

A product's durability primarily depends on its materials. For Mathieu Blanchard SignatureFor the glass, we use sapphire glass: This is the most frequently used glass on today's high-end watches. Sapphire glass is 10 times harder than mineral glass and 4 times harder than acrylic glass. It is virtually impossible to scratch except with diamonds, which are even harder. This glass is designed in a laboratory.

For watch cases and straps, we have made huge efforts to produce using sustainable materials such as natural wood from sustainable sources and matte-finished stainless steel. This finish allows for visual durability, as the wear and tear of time is much less apparent than when polished.
